Lutheran Campus Ministries seeking four outgoing students or young adults to conduct ministry of hospitality at the Faith and Spirituality Centre at the U of C, Mount Royal University and SAIT. Encourage participation in LGBTQ2IAS+ affirming community based on progressive Christian values.
The primary duties this individual will be responsible for:
Engagement
- Engage with Young Adults in person at UCalgary Faith & Spirituality Centre, Mount Royal Universtiy and SAIT, and in Church circles (congregations, camps & youth gatherings) to encourage participation in Campus Ministries.
- Engage with Young Adults on social media to encourage participation in Campus Ministries
- Support work of Community partnerships such the University, Farming, Congregations and Camps.
Program Support
- Understand and interpret to the staff team the needs of students and young adults
- Assist staff team in the delivery of existing programs (Summer BBQ's, Women's Circle, Soup Making, Congregational Visits, and Faith and Farming)as well as support community partnership with the University, Farming, and Congregations

- Able to organize and conduct programming

- Willingness to work as a team
- Must meet the requirements of the Canada Summer Jobs Program

- April 24-June 19 Lutheran Campus Ministry University, Farm, Congregation and Camp Kuriakos partnership (2 positions)
- May 1- July 3 Lutheran Campus Ministry (University and farm)
- June 14-August 16 Lutheran Campus Ministry (University, Farm and Congregation)
The screening procedure will involve a reference check and a Police Information check.
