Who Are We?

Mission Statement

We support students on Calgary’s three largest post-secondary campuses by creating an inclusive, judgment-free community that offers Christian programming alongside opportunities for open spiritual exploration.

We welcome students of every race, culture, and socioeconomic background, affirm people of all abilities, sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions, and embrace those who are religious, spiritual, or non-religious. In all we do, we seek to create spaces where every student feels valued, supported, and affirmed.

Reconciling in Christ Welcome Statement

Welcome to Lutheran Campus Ministry–Calgary! We’re a welcoming community for young adults based at Calgary’s three largest post-secondary institutions: the University of Calgary, Mount Royal University, and The Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. We offer a space where all are invited to explore spirituality, whether you come from a Christian tradition or no faith background at all.

Our focus is on creating an inclusive, judgment-free environment where everyone can feel supported and valued. We offer Christian programming alongside opportunities for spiritual exploration that are open to people from diverse faiths and backgrounds. We are committed to creating a space where people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions are welcomed and affirmed.

Our community values racial equity: we aim to lift up Black, Indigenous, and People of Color so that they may speak freely and their voice can be heard.

We also strive to be a place where those who are spiritual-but-not-religious or who feel marginalized by traditional Christianity can find connection and support. We embrace a non-dogmatic approach, guided by social justice and a deep respect for the mind, body, and spirit.

Whether you're seeking community, spiritual exploration, or a safe place to be yourself, we are here for you.
